Kohima, March 23 (EMN): Nagaland reported 923 road accidents with 56 fatalities and 430 injuries between January and December 2021, according to the annual administrative report 2021-2022 of the state’s Transport department.
The report, which was tabled in the 11th session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled to conclude on March 25, also informed that as many as 12, 283 vehicles were registered from April 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022 in Nagaland.
The report also revealed a staggering figure of 20, 577 driving licenses being issued during the same period.
Meanwhile, the enforcement wing of the department detected 835 defaulters and a total amount of INR 7,59,950 was collected as compounding fees in one year, from January 2021 to January 2022.
