Dimapur, Feb. 24 (EMN): The Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) on Thursday revealed that an amount of INR 94.03 crore has been deposited under the Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme for Nagaland till date.
As per the ministry’s tweet, INR 91.25 crore has also been sanctioned for 425 Start Up India (SUPI) accounts in Nagaland, out of which INR 25.13 crore has been released till date.
Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in its report also revealed that pursuant to the government’s policy of earmarking 10% of the total funds for North east region, an outlay of INR 1608.61 crore in BE 2021-22 had been earmarked exclusively for the region.
In the “physical performance of Khadi in the region during 2021-22, Nagaland’s production was INR 10.96 lakh up to December 31, 2021, while the sales was INR 40.44 lakh with cumulative employment of 295. The expected production upto March 31, 2022, was INR 11.40 lakh with sales of INR 43.31 lakh. The state’s “physical performance of village industries” production was INR 56047.92 lakh with sales of INR 77761.09 lakh and employment rate at 1. 16% (up to December 31, 2021). The expected production up to March 31, 2022 was INR 86790.55 lakh with sales of INR 122431.77 lakh with employment rate of 1.25%.
