DIMAPUR — The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has released INR 5858.60 crore to 14 flood-affected states including Nagaland, as a central share from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and an advance from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).

As per an update from the PIB on Tuesday, Nagaland has received INR 19.20 crore to mitigate widespread damage caused by heavy rainfall, floods, and landslides during the southwest monsoon season.

The funds were released after an Inter-Ministerial Central Team (IMCT) visited the state for on-the-spot assessment of the damages earlier in September, the update stated.
