Nagaland receives CSR funding of INR 18 cr. in 2024-25
Nagaland state received a ‘credited’ amount of INR 18.2 crore under Corporate Social Responsibility during 2024-2025
- KOHIMA — Nagaland
state received a ‘credited’ amount of INR 18.2 crore under Corporate Social
Responsibility during 2024-2025, the largest CSR funding in the state to date.
- The credited amount accounts for at least 30 projects—five
ongoing and 25 completed projects.
- Besides the credited amount, the state also received ‘in
kind’ worth INR 4 crore (approx.) in two projects under the CSR funding.
- Meanwhile, 20 other projects were also funded under CSR ‘in
kind,’ the Planning and Transformation report for 2024-2025 stated—providing
status on Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN) CSR
activities for the year.
- Per the report, Axis Bank Limited was the largest spender in
the state, forking out INR 5 crore for two projects: setting up solar cold
storage in 16 locations across Nagaland in two phases (projects completed).
SIDBI was next with INR 4.59 crore funding for Swavalamban Connect Kendras, an
ongoing project.
- Most of the projects funded under CSR were in the sectors of
health, education, entrepreneurship, rural development, and environment.
- Introduced in 2013, CSR funding in Nagaland has seen a
gradual increase over the years.
