Dimapur, Aug. 2 (EMN): The Chief Engineer, PWD (Roads and Bridges) Nagaland, Limadondang today directed all the Field Officers and staff of the PWD (R&B) Divisions to remain stationed in their place of posting, so as to oversee the restoration works on the roads, and be prepared to face any kind of eventuality
A DIPR news bulletin stated that the CE, PWD issued the directive in view of the unprecedented damages to the road infrastructure caused due to the incessant rains during the last few weeks
Besdies, Comm. Secy, Works and Housing Dept.has also directed the officers and staff of the department that any report of emergency nature with regard to the status of roads should be reported to the “Control Room and R and B Correspondence WhatsApp without fail”. Any officer or staff neglecting his/her duty shall be viewed seriously, the Comm. and Secy. warned.
Through another circular issued by the Chief Engineer, PWD (Works & Housing), H. Kahuto Sumi has all the PWD (W&H) Divisions are to stay alert and be ready to face any kind of emergency situation in the state. Further, all the Divisions are directed to assist the Roads and Bridges Divisions in their respective jurisdictions, ‘as and when called for’, the DIPR informed.
