DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Public Works Department (R&B) has issued a corrigendum clarifying that its earlier statement denying knowledge of an administrative approval for the Foothill Road project was made inadvertently, and expressed regret over the error.
Referring to its earlier clarification on NFHRCC claims published on April 10, the department stated that its denial about said administrative approval was inadvertent and without malafide intent.
It clarified that although an administrative approval of INR 430 crore was accorded in March 2024 for the Foothill Road project, the same was never sanctioned and has since become infructuous.
The department further stated that only the administrative approval of INR 148.50 crore, sanctioned under the Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment (SASCI) in July 2024, forms the basis of the ongoing works of the Foothill Road project.
