Nagaland Private Doctors Association threatens to suspend PM-JAY, CMHIS services
Nagaland Private Doctors Association alleged that the NHPS and FGI were misleading the public and unjustly blaming doctors and healthcare institutions
- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland Private Doctors Association (NPDA) has accused the Nagaland Health
Protection Society (NHPS) and Future Generali Insurance (FGI) for failing to
honour the terms of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Empanelled Health
Care Providers (EHCPs).
- In a press release, the NPDA alleged that the NHPS and FGI
were misleading the public and unjustly blaming doctors and healthcare
institutions.
- Consequent to the alleged failure of the two entities to
honour the MoU, the NPDA in an emergency meeting held on February 8, announced
that private hospitals will suspend the Ayushman Bharat (PM-JAY) and CMHIS
services starting February 15, “until all pending claims are settled.”
- The NPDA also demanded a public apology from the NHPS for
“damaging the reputation of EHCPs.”
- The association further resolved that no new agreements
concerning EHCPs will be signed without NPDA’s approval.
