DIMAPUR — The Department of Power has informed that it is in the process of migrating to e-billing of electricity bills, after which no hard copies of the electricity bills will be served but bills will be delivered to the consumers in the form of SMS, e-mail and also made available in the web portal www.dopn.gov.in.
For the e-billing to materialise, the department needs to update the consumers’ credentials with valid mobile number and e-mail address, the executive engineer of Dimapur electrical division stated in a press release.
Consumers have been requested to visit the office of the respective sub-divisional officer and submit their valid credentials.

Alternately, consumers can also visit the web portal www.dopn.gov.in and login, where they will have the option to register as new users.
Once the valid consumer number is registered successfully, consumers can get access to update profile option and their credentials can be updated instantly.
The main objective of the department to adopt e-billing is in line with energy conservation, digital India initiative and save environment, the release stated.
