Nagaland: Political leaders condole demise of Among Konyak

DIMAPUR — The Naga People’s Front (NPF), Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland Y Patton, and Advisor for Tribal Affairs and Election H Tovihoto Ayemi have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Among Konyak, the mother of Health and Family Welfare Minister P Paiwang Konyak, who passed away on Thursday at her native village, Shangsa, Tizit.

In a condolence message, the NPF stated that it is deeply saddened by the demise of Among Konyak, describing a mother as a pillar of strength, love, and guidance, whose passing leaves a void that can never be filled.

It extended prayers and condolences to the bereaved family, expressing hope that they may find strength and courage during this difficult time. The statement added that the rank and file of the NPF stands in solidarity with the minister and his family, sharing their grief and sorrow.

In his condolence message, Patton expressed deep sadness over the passing of Among Konyak. He said the loss of a mother is one of the greatest sorrows in life, as her love, care, and guidance shape the foundation of every family.

Patton stated that he stands with Paiwang Konyak and the bereaved family in prayer and sympathy during this time of grief.

He said her memory will remain alive in the hearts of her family and all who knew her through the legacy of love and kindness she leaves behind.

Patton conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Paiwang Konyak and the entire family, praying that the Almighty grant them strength, peace, and comfort in this difficult time, and that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.

Ayemi, conveying his condolences, said, “I am deeply saddened to learn about the passing away of your beloved mother. On behalf of my family and constituents, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and your family during this time of grief.”

He described her life and legacy as one of grace, wisdom, and dedication to her people, saying her passing is a great loss not only to the family but also to the entire community.

“A mother’s love and guidance are irreplaceable, and I can only imagine the pain of your loss. During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family,” he said, adding, “May the Almighty grant her eternal rest and give you and family strength to bear this loss with courage.”
