Nagaland Police have urged landlords and tenants to register using the Tenant Registration App to help law enforcement detect illegal activities and improve public safety.

KOHIMA — Nagaland Police on Tuesday called on landlords and tenants across the state to register tenancy details through the Tenant Registration App, stating that timely registration will assist law enforcement agencies in detecting anti-social elements and illegal immigrants and in taking preventive measures for public safety.
In a notification issued by the Public Relation Officer from Police Headquarters, the police informed that the Tenant Registration App is being implemented to streamline submission and registration of tenants and landlords through OTP-based verification.
The police requested all concerned citizens, whether landlords or tenants, to make use of the application and cooperate with law enforcement agencies in their efforts to provide a safer society. It stated that diligent and timely registration of tenants would aid the state government and enforcement agencies in effective monitoring and preventive action for the well-being of society.

According to the notification, the Tenant Registration App can be downloaded from the Nagaland Police website (https://police.nagaland.gov.in) and will be available on the Google Play Store soon.
The police also informed that house owners may obtain the application or the .apk file from the nearest police station and may approach the police station for assistance related to the registration process.
It further clarified that no charges or fees are required to be paid by anyone for using the application.
