
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): International Institute of Democracy and Election Management (IIIDEM), under Election Commission of India, organised a virtual training programme for police officers on Friday in connection with the upcoming general election to the legislative assemblies of Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tripura.
The deputy chief electoral officer of Nagaland, Alila Chang, in an update informed that the trained police officers will act as state-level master trainers (SLMTs)/ resource persons for down-the-line training in their respective states.
Some of the topics covered in the training were assessment of central armed police forces (CAPF) requirement and state police deployment, categorisation of polling booths and vulnerability assessment, security arrangements for pre-poll, polling day and post-poll period.
Altogether, 20 police officers from Nagaland attended the training programme.
