- KOHIMA — The
Nagaland Police badminton team achieved notable success at the 1st All India
Police Badminton Cluster held in Kochi, Kerala, from April 11 to 15. The team
earned the overall badminton tournament runners-up trophy, with Joseph Sumi
winning the individual player of the tournament (male).
- While the women’s team secured a bronze medal, several
members triumphed in individual and doubles events.
- This was informed to Eastern Mirror by the Team Manager,
Assistant Commandant (AC) Joseph Sumi, on Wednesday.

- The state police team comprised 11 members, including seven
males and four females: Dy. Co. Vekhrolo Koza, Dy. SP Emmanuel Shohe, Dy. SP
Solomon C Anar, Asst. Co. Joseph Sumi (Team Manager), ABI Imlirenla Jamir, ABSI
Tajenkaba Ao, ABSI Bendangnaro, Hav. Raju Chetri, Hav. Uma Tamang, Hav.
Imliwapang Tzudir, and C/N Pulei Konyak.
- It was informed that the team would be returning to the
state on Thursday morning.
