Nagaland Police announce INR 50,000 reward for credible information leading to suspects in the deadly Chümoukedima IED blast investigation
DIMAPUR — Four days after the deadly improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Chümoukedima that killed an Assam Rifles personnel and critically injured four others, Nagaland Police on Friday announced an INR 50,000 cash reward for credible information leading to the identification and arrest of those behind the attack.
In a public notice, Commissioner of Police Aotula T Imchen said the Dimapur Police Commissionerate is conducting an intensive investigation into the July 13 blast at Khopanullah, Chümoukedima 'A', to identify and apprehend all those involved in planning, facilitating, executing or aiding what police described as a "heinous terrorist act."
The reward will be given for information leading to the identification or arrest of the perpetrators or their associates, as well as those involved in planning, financing, harbouring, transporting or otherwise facilitating the offence.
Police also appealed for information that could help recover explosives, explosive components, weapons, communication devices, vehicles or any other incriminating material linked to the case, besides identifying hideouts, safe houses or logistical support networks used by the offenders.
Members of the public have been urged to share any information, "however insignificant it may appear," by contacting 7085055003 or 7085055011, both of which are also available on WhatsApp.

The commissioner assured that the identity of informants would be kept strictly confidential and protected in accordance with law, adding that anonymous tips would also be accepted. The reward will be released after authorities verify that the information materially contributed to solving the case, recovering evidence or apprehending the accused, subject to approval by the competent authority.
Police appealed to citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with investigators, stating that all information received would be acted upon promptly and discreetly in the interest of public safety and national security.
