Nagaland Police set up 24x7 control room to curb extortion, urging citizens to report illegal collections confidentially.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland Police have announced that a 24x7 control room is operational to address complaints of extortion and illegal collection of money at check gates, roadside locations, and other points across the state.
The department informed that such activities are strictly prohibited and assured that stringent measures are being taken to curb the practice.

Citizens have been urged to report incidents through mobile number 8798881978 (calls), 8798881979 (WhatsApp), or email at PCRillegalcollection@gmail.com. Complaints can also be made on helpline 112.
Assuring that the identity of complainants will be kept strictly confidential, the state police requested the public to cooperate and report any information or evidence regarding illegal collection activities in the state.
