- DIMAPUR — Planning
and Transformation department bade farewell to the outgoing additional chief
secretary and development commissioner, R Ramakhrishnan, during a programme
held on February 27 at Doulhou Garden along Billy Graham Road in Kohima.
- Speaking at the farewell programme, Deputy Chief Minister
and minister of Planning and National Highway, TR Zeliang, stated that
Ramakrishnan’s unwavering commitment, dedication and ability to navigate
complex challenges were instrumental in setting many of the policies and
initiatives that have transformed the state.
- Zeliang reflected on his extraordinary contribution toward
the state during his tenure and added that he was not just an officer, but a
strategist, a problem solver and a relentless advocate for the good government,
a DIPR report stated.
- Zeliang stated that his dedication towards public service
has been unparalleled and added that his tireless service towards the state and
the public would be cherished forever.
- In his farewell speech, Ramakrishnan, mentioned that his
career achievements were made possible because of the support rendered by
department officers and staff. He also wished the best for the department and
urged all to continue working for the development of the state.
- Short speeches were also delivered by the secretary of
Planning and Transport Department, P Nungsangwapang Jamir, JDC Vilhouhunuo
Sachu, retired additional development commissioner, Nlumo Murry and project
director of GIS, Mhathung Kithan.
