Nagaland: Pangnyu interacts with NIMSR director

Kohima, Aug. 26 (EMN): Nagaland minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, had interacted with Prof. Dr. Soumya Chakraborty, the first director-cum-dean of Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (NIMSR) in Kohima on August 25.

An update from the minister's office stated that the meeting was held in the minister’s office chamber at Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.

The appointment order was issued on August 25 and Prof. Dr Chakraborty would join the office in the second week of September, it informed.

It stated that the minister has wished her the best in all endeavours with prayers for the smooth functioning of the first medical college as she takes over the charge. The first academic session would start from 2023-2024 onwards.

It may be mentioned that the department had submitted online of the letter of permission (LoP) on August 6 to the National Medical Commission (NMC).
