KOHIMA — A total of 85 e-services are provided across Nagaland, the second lowest among the Northeast states after Sikkim, which has 54 e-services, according to the 25th edition of the National e-Governance Service Delivery Assessment (NeSDA) Way Forward monthly report for May 2025.

In Nagaland, 28% of e-services are available on the identified single unified service delivery portal.

Among the Northeast states, Arunachal Pradesh provides 309 e-services, Assam 733, Meghalaya 363, Manipur 269, Tripura 529, and Mizoram 103 e-services.

Overall, across the country, a total of 21,062 e-services are provided across states and UTs. Karnataka provides the highest number of e-services (2,089), and the largest number of e-services (7,065) fall within the sector of local governance and utility services.

The report also shows that a total of 424 e-services were added since the last report by states and UTs across the country, with Tripura adding the majority of e-services across all focus sectors.

It was informed that the NeSDA Way Forward report of May 2025 is based on inputs provided by states and UTs on the NeSDA Way Forward dashboard as of May 31, 2025.

It may be mentioned that the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) formulated the NeSDA Framework in 2019 to assess states and UTs and central ministries regarding the delivery of their e-services as a benchmarking exercise, covering seven sectors.

The DARPG monitors progress in e-service delivery across states and UTs through inputs provided on the NeSDA Way Forward dashboard, NeSDA Way Forward monthly reports, and regular review meetings with single points of contact (SPoCs) from states and UTs.

Further, the DARPG encourages states to enhance their e-service delivery capabilities by providing e-services through a single unified service delivery portal.

The report shows that six states and UTs have achieved 100% integration through their unified service delivery portals, and five states and UTs have crossed the 90% mark, reflecting strong adoption of the unified service delivery model.

However, nearly half of the states and UTs remain below the 50% mark, indicating scope for further enhancement in unified service delivery, the report stated.
