Nagaland observes “Cheer4India” Tokyo Olympic 2020

Kohima, July 20 (EMN): The department of Youth Resources and Sports, Nagaland on Tuesday joined the rest of the nation in observing “Cheer4India” programme for Indian contingent for Tokyo Olympic 2020.

Addressing the function at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Nagaland’s Youth Resources and Sports Advisor Zale Neikha said that though the state could not send athletes for Tokyo Olympics, yet remained hopeful that with Khelo India State Centre for Excellence (KISCE) functional in Kohima, Olympians would be produced in the future.

Olympian Chekrovolu Swuro also delivered a short speech and extended best wishes to the Indian contingent.

Nagaland’s Youth Resources and Sports Director Akumla Chuba chaired the function.
