Dimapur, April 1 (EMN): Chairman of the NSCN (IM), Q Tuccu, and the general secretary, Th. Muivah, have condoled the demise of Limachuba Jamir, member of the collective leadership, who passed away on March 31 in New Delhi after a prolonged illness.
Limachuba Jamir from Sungratsu village in Mokokchung district joined the Naga national movement in the year 1997 and had served in various capacities as CAO/ Caretaker of Ao region, kilonser of chaplee affairs and member of the collective leadership till his last breath.
Tuccu stated that the passing away of Limachuba Jamir was an irreparable loss to the Naga nation in general and the NSCN in particular and added that the vacuum created by his demise would be difficult to fill.
Tuccu added that during his 25 years of selfless service to the Naga nation, Limachuba had proved himself as a true son of the soil. He has further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
In a separate statement, Muivah stated that Limachuba had executed all the responsibilities shouldered upon to the satisfaction of all adding that in the later part of his journey, he was directly involved in the Indo-Naga political talks as a member of the talk team since 2018.
“His role in the talk team was very instrumental. His dedication, commitment and the set of principles he had exhibited in the short journey of his life shall be engraved in the history of the Naga struggle and the legacy shall be remembered in all times,” Muivah said.
Muivah further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for the departed soul to find eternal rest.
