Dimapur, Aug. 25 (EMN): Akato Chophi-led NSCN/GPRN has reportedly released three officials of NSCN/GPRN (Isak-Khango) including deputy kilonsers Kughavi Achumi and Yetoshe Aye, and Kuhokhe Yeptho, tatar, in the presence of WSH, led by its president Shikaho Zhimomi and Kuhuboto CSOs (KGPO, KGKK, KGSTH and KGSA).
“The NSCN however reminded everyone that our act of benevolence should not be misconstrued as weakness, and as such, if at all, such misconception arises will be most unfortunate,” the NSCN/GPRN stated in a press release.
NSCN/GPRN stated that they took the step as a show of respect to the request made by NNPGs convenor, N Kitovi Zhimomi, WSH and other Kuhuboto CSOs, aimed at building a “serene atmosphere and peace overtures.”
“One of the released officials, on behalf of his other two friends, acknowledged the selfless acts done by the CSOs to facilitate their release and also appreciated good faith shown by the NSCN and further declared that they were neither harassed physically nor mentally but was rather treated well as peers and equals and as another National worker,” it added.
