The Speaker underlined the opportunities available in today’s digital and globalised era, noting that Naga human resources have earned recognition beyond the state. He encouraged the association to invite players from outside Nagaland for tournaments to both promote the sport and provide local players exposure to higher levels of competition.

He also highlighted the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, calling upon the organisers to conduct events in a sustainable and eco-friendly manner while providing them with a global outlook. He reiterated the government’s commitment to identifying sporting talents across Nagaland and stressed the need to groom them with values while creating wider opportunities.

Speaking on darts, he described the sport as one requiring balance and coordination, and encouraged participants to pursue it with dedication and enthusiasm.

NDA president David Angami, while highlighting the association’s activities and achievements, said the body currently has district partners in Kohima, Dimapur and Zunheboto, and aims to expand to all districts. The ongoing 7th edition of the Nagaland Darts Championship features 28 participants competing across various categories.
