Kohima South Treasury notifies on pensioner verification details

DIMAPUR — The Office of the Senior Treasury Officer, Kohima South Treasury, has informed all pensioners (both life and family drawing pension) from Kohima South Treasury, that annual physical verification for 2025-2026 will be held from September 10 to the 19th at the Kohima South Treasury during office hours. All the pensioners are to appear physically along with PPO book, renewed NPA ID card and life/family pension verification certificate (issued vide govt’s approval No. FIN/TA/PEN/3-1/2023, dated 3rd August, 2023) as per the given scheduled date, a DIPR report stated. Pension payment will be stopped for all unverified pensioners, it added.

Free medical treatment in Chozuba

DIMAPUR — A group of doctors from the Chakhesang community will be conducting a free health camp 2025 at CHC, Chozuba, on August 22 from 9 am onwards. In a notification, Dr. Lolekhol Pucho, Senior Medical Officer, CHC, Chozuba, stated the medical camp is a goodwill mission to provide consultations and treatment services. The health camp will offer a range of specialist services, including free consultations and treatment, to provide maximum benefits to patients in need. All health units under Chozuba Block have been requested to widely disseminate the information within their areas.

ULB committee meeting on August 21

DIMAPUR — Advisor and chairperson of the Committee on Urban Local Bodies & Nagaland Village Councils (vis-a-vis The Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023 and The Nagaland Village and Tribal Council Act of 1978, as amended up to 2022), K Tokugha Sukhalu has postponed the meeting of the committee which was earlier scheduled to be held on August 19. The meeting will now be held on August 21 at 11 am at C Chongshen Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat, Kohima, a DIPR report stated. All the committee members have been requested to attend the meeting.

ENPO condoles Ganesan’s demise

DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has condoled the demise of Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, who passed away on August 15 in Chennai. “Though his tenure as Governor in Nagaland was brief yet his long years of service in public life was exemplary and will always be remembered with respect and honour as he touched the hearts of many through his humility, kindness, and dedication,” the ENPO stated in a condolence message.

Tseminyu DPDB meeting on August 22

DIMAPUR — District Planning Officer and member secretary of DPDB Tseminyu, Meyikokba Jamir, has issue a circular informing all the concerned members that the monthly DPDB meeting of Tseminyu district for the month of August will be held on August 22 at 12 noon at DC’s conference hall, Tseminyu. All the board members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.

Dimapur DPDB meeting postponed

DIMAPUR — The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting of Dimapur district scheduled for the month of August has been postponed until further notice. Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman of DPDB, Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, in a circular, informed all members to take note of the postponement. The fresh date for the meeting will be notified later.

BS&G Dimapur jubilee committee meeting

DIMAPUR — In pursuance of the forthcoming silver jubilee programme of the Bharat Scouts and Guides (BS&G), Dimapur, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, has convened a meeting of all members of the jubilee planning committee for BS&G Dimapur on August 20 at 11:30 am at the DC’s conference hall.
