  • DIMAPUR — The Office of the Regional Transport Authority has informed all candidates applying for the two-wheeler taxi permit that the interview results for the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland will be available on the notice boards of their respective DC offices from May 29. Selected candidates are also instructed to promptly collect assurance certificates from the District Transport Office, Dimapur (ISTT Complex, 7th Mile, Chümoukedima), by June 20. After this date, issuance of assurance certificates will not be entertained, and failure to collect them will result in annulment of candidature.

  • Land compensation for Nagaki City project begins

  • DIMAPUR — DC Chümoukedima, Polan John, informed all landowners whose land has been measured for acquisition to set up Nagaki Incubation City under Medziphema Sub-Division, Chümoukedima district, that disbursement of land compensation for Ruzaphema village will be done on May 30 and 31 during office hours in the office of the DC Chümoukedima. According to a DIPR report, all concerned landowners who have yet to submit the required documents must do so during the disbursement for payment processing. The documents include four passport-sized photos, bank account details, one photocopy of the front page of the bank passbook, identity proof (Aadhaar, driving license, electoral photo identity card, etc.), and landownership papers duly certified by the concerned village council.

  • Child rescued in Dimapur, family sought

  • DIMAPUR — A male child, identified as Vivek Mehta and estimated to be between 7 and 10 years of age, was found loitering near Hazi Park, Dimapur, on May 20. According to an update, a concerned adult alerted the authorities, and the child was subsequently rescued by Child Helpline, Dimapur. The child is currently under the care and protection of the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Dimapur. It was requested that anyone with information regarding the child’s parents, family, or guardian contact 9362358230.

  • HSLC, HSSLC compartmental exam prep in Longleng

  • DIMAPUR — The Examination Centre Committee meeting to conduct compartmental and improvement examinations for the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) was held on Wednesday at the DC conference hall, Longleng. The meeting was chaired by SDO (C) Miyazungbah Jamir, according to a DIPR report. Agendas discussed included deployment of police personnel and a medical team during the compartmental and improvement examinations, which are scheduled to commence on June 6. The committee also discussed the dispatch of examination papers after the exams.
