- Sainik School cadets
represent Nagaland at Pariksha Pe Charcha
- DIMAPUR— Three
cadets from Sainik School Punglwa, namely Cdt Chumbenthung Y Ezung (Class 12),
Cdt Cidibe Peter Mbung (Class 11), and Cdt Moatemjen Jamir (Class 10),
represented Nagaland at the 8th edition of the Pariksha Pe Charcha held in New
Delhi. According to an update, Cdt Chumbenthung Y Ezung was among the few
chosen to pose a direct question to the Prime Minister. During their tour, the
cadets visited iconic landmarks such as the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya Museum
and Qutub Minar. They also witnessed the 76th Republic Day Parade, the NCC
Prime Minister Rally 2025, and the full rehearsal of the grand Beating Retreat
ceremony.

verification in Dimapur on February 17
- DIMAPUR — MLA and
chairman of the Committee on Government Assurances (2024-2025), Kuzholuzo
Nienu, has fixed February 17 for an on-the-spot verification to assess the
Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex (MDSC), Dimapur. All members of the Committee
on Government Assurances are requested to join the visit.

travel advisory
- DIMAPUR — The
deputy commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has issued a travel
advisory to all concerned that, due to the ongoing repair of the deteriorating
Tsutsung Bridge at KM 20,400 of NH 202, there will be a complete closure of all
vehicular movement along the stated stretch of the highway, starting from the
date of this order and continuing until further notice. An update stated that
travellers should use the following route: Longsa – Suruhoto – Yangli –
Tuensang, Longmisa – Alisopur – Tronger.

career seminar in Mon
- DIMAPUR — Deputy
commissioner of Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, informed that Eagle Crest Skill Training
Institute will be conducting an employment-linked career guidance seminar for
students of classes 10, 12, final-year college students, and other educated
unemployed youth in the fields of aviation, hospitality, tourism, cruise line,
and overseas recruitment at the Town Council Hall, Mon town, on March 6 at
11:00 am. All interested candidates are requested to attend.

Centre provides school supplies
- DIMAPUR — Magdaline
Coaching Centre provided free books and bags to students of government schools
under the jurisdiction of the Western Angami Students Union’ and the Southern
Angami Students Union recently. According to an update, the initiative was
launched by Kele William, proprietor of the centre. Speaking at the event,
William noted that the best teachers are from the government sector. He
explained that, in the past, government schools were often overlooked due to
political issues and backdoor appointments. However, he stated that, in the
present day, the best and most well-trained individuals are being recruited,
and he encouraged students not to be discouraged.
- MGM College conducts
outreach at children's home
- DIMAPUR — The
Sociology department of MGM College organised an outreach programme at
Rintaneimi Neighbourhood Children's Home on February 1. The initiative aimed to
foster interaction, inspire young minds, and provide essential support to the
children. According to an update, beyond interaction, the department also
extended tangible support by donating essential supplies, including a bag of
rice, potatoes, and other necessities.
