Kiphire reviews exam arrangements
DIMAPUR — A coordination meeting for the conduct of the HSLC and HSSLC Compartmental/Improvement Examination 2026 was held at the DPDB conference hall, Kiphire, on Friday under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire, Longdiba L Sangtam. According to a DIPR report, the meeting discussed and finalised necessary administrative, security, and logistical arrangements for the smooth and fair conduct of the HSLC and HSSLC Compartmental/Improvement Examination 2026 in Kiphire district, including prevention of malpractice and effective coordination among all stakeholders. All concerned officers, members of the Examination Committee, heads of institutions, and representatives of concerned departments attended the meeting.
Phek DDMA meeting on June 3
The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman DDMA, Phek, Rhosietho Nguori, has convened a quarterly-cum-pre monsoon preparedness meeting scheduled to be held on June 3 at 1 pm at the DC's conference hall, Phek. All concerned officials have been requested to attend the meeting positively, a DIPR report stated.
Peren medical board on June 23
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Peren, Dr. K Limarula Ao, has informed all departments in Peren district that the district medical board for service confirmation will be held on June 23 from 10 am onwards at the CMO conference hall. In a circular, Dr. Limarula Ao informed departments that candidates for confirmation, invalidation and commutation of pension, among others, for Grade III and Grade IV employees should submit the list to the CMO office, Peren, by June 20.
Wokha by-poll scrutiny completed
The scrutiny of nomination papers for the Wokha Town Council by-election from Tsumang-B, Ward-8 was held on Monday at the office chamber of the Assistant Returning Officer and ADC Wokha, Renbomo Ezung. The scrutiny was conducted in the presence of Observer Y Chingyak Konyak, Joint Secretary, DUDA, a DIPR report stated. After examination, the nomination papers of both candidates were approved, and both were declared qualified to contest the upcoming election. “This marks the formal clearance of candidates for the by-election, ensuring the electoral process moves forward in accordance with established procedures,” it stated.
Red Ribbon quiz held in Meluri
The district-level Red Ribbon Quiz Competition was conducted at GHSS Meluri, on May 30. According to a DIPR report, the programme was sponsored by the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) and organised by DISHA, Phek, with the objective of creating awareness among students on HIV/AIDS, healthy lifestyles, and responsible behaviour. EAC Meluri Pipfusa Pojar attended the programme as the special invitee. Speaking on the occasion, Pojar commended the efforts of NSACS and DISHA in promoting awareness and empowering young people through educational programmes. She encouraged the students to make informed decisions and contribute positively towards building a healthy and responsible society. Delivering the keynote address, DPO DISHA, Phek, KuduvoKezo highlighted the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness among the youth and encouraged students to become informed ambassadors in their communities. The quiz competition was conducted by Temjensen Jamir, counsellor, OST DH Phek.
