CRIMHRC promotes mental health
The Carl Rogers Institute of Mental Health and Research Centre (CRIMHRC), in collaboration with the National Mental Health Programme, conducted an awareness session at Sazolie College, Kohima, on September 16 to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. The session was centred on the theme “Changing the Narrative: Start the Conversation” and highlighted that suicide is both treatable and preventable. An update stated that the programme emphasised the shared responsibility of saving lives, from individuals regularly checking in on loved ones to communities creating compassionate and safe spaces. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session and psychometric evaluations designed to help students assess their emotional well-being. The activities reinforced the collective mission to destigmatise mental health and value every life.
