PDCCI elects new team
Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): The Phek District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PDCCI) elected a new team of office bearers during its general meeting held on March 18 at Phek Town Hall. The new team is led by Chetezo Akami as the president of PDCCI for the second time, an update stated. The new team for the year 2023 to 2025 was declared by Mhasi Vadeo, convenor of the nomination committee. The act of blessing for the new team was pronounced by Dr. Vezoto Soho, associate pastor of Phek Town Baptist Church.

Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): The annual general meeting of Mengu village, erstwhile known as ‘B’ khel New Chümoukedima, will be held on March 25 at 10 am at the village Govt. Primary School premises. An update requested all villagers and landowners to attend the meeting. It also informed that any agenda should be submitted in writing to the meeting chairperson or secretary before the commencement of the meeting.
78 Bn, CRPF procures desktop computers, agricultural tools for Sechuma-Zubza village
Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): 78 Bn, CRPF, Zubza procured desktop computers and accessories for the youths and to assist poor farmers of Sechuma-Zubza village with the aim to develop human resources through computer training. It procured two desktop computers with accessories, multi functional printer and various types of agriculture tools like spade with handle, pick axe and digging rod (crow bar). An update stated that the items were formally handed over to the village council Sechuma-Zubza and agriculture tools were handed over to poor/needy villagers of Sechuma-Zubza in a Civic Action Programme organised on Monday. It was attended by officers and men of 78 Bn, CRPF, village council members and the villagers of Sechuma-Zubza.
Free cataract surgery eye camp held at IMDH Mokokchung
Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): A five-day free cataract surgery eye camp organised by the National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCB&VI) Nagaland concluded on March 18 at IMDH Mokokchung. Dr. Phyantsuthung, Consultant Eye Specialist, District Hospital Tuensang, conducted 23 cataract surgeries for 18 patients during the camp. Meanwhile, a team led by Dr. Renjano N Okhyopvui, Medical Officer, IMDH, Mokokchung screened a total of 160 patients above the age of 40, for cataract as well as Glaucoma during the camp.
AR conducts meeting with GBs of Zunheboto town
Dimapur, March 20 (EMN): Assam Rifles of Miao battalion, 25 sector AR under the aegis of Inspector General (North) Zunheboto organised a security meeting with GBs of Zunheboto town on Monday. The main agenda of the meeting was to analyse the security situation before and after general Assembly elections 2023. 18 GBs from 13 different villages attended the meeting, an update stated. During the meeting, GBs mentioned that they were peace makers of any village and would always stand with Assam Rifles to counter any illegal activities, unethical practices and extortion. They thanked the Assam Rifles for organising such programmes which is a necessity for building a bridge between the army and the public.
