Relief extended to flood-hit families in Anato village
DIMAPUR — The Niuland district administration handed over immediate relief assistance to eight flood-affected families from Anato village under Kuhuboto sub-division on September 15. The relief was distributed by Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Kuhuboto Nuhuta Tunyi in the presence of the district project associate of the District Disaster Management Authority, Niuland. According to a DIPR report, the assistance was provided as part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to extend immediate support to families affected by recent flooding in the area.
Education Conclave 2026 to be held in Chümoukedima
KOHIMA — The Education Conclave 2026, focusing on the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in the northeastern states, will be held on September 18 and 19 at JP Park and Banquets, Naga United village, Chümoukedima. According to the organisers, the two-day conclave will bring together education representatives from across the northeastern states for presentations and panel discussions on the progress, challenges, and opportunities in implementing the policy. The inaugural session on September 18 will be attended by Minister for Higher Education and Tourism Temjen Imna Along as chief host.
Internal Security Scheme meeting convened in Wokha
DIMAPUR — A meeting on the Internal Security Scheme was convened at the Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall in Wokha under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner K Mhathung Tsanglao on Wednesday. The deputy commissioner briefed the members on the objectives and necessity of the scheme, stressing its importance for safeguarding the district against any eventuality. The meeting discussed overall preparedness measures, with a focus on strengthening coordination among departments and ensuring readiness to respond effectively to potential challenges in Wokha district.
Legal awareness programme in Chozuba
DIMAPUR — An awareness and sensitisation programme on legal rights and protection for women and children under the aegis of the Ministry of Women and Child Development will be held at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall in Chozuba on September 18 at 11 am. According to a DIPR report, the programme will be organised by the district administration of Phek under Mission Shakti in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Phek. Additional Deputy Commissioner Zapuno Khatso will deliver the keynote address, while District Mission Coordinator of DHEW Vileno K Thisa will highlight schemes and programme components for women under Mission Shakti.
