ANCSU appeals for early sanction of 2nd phase Post-Matric Scholarship
DIMAPUR — The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has appealed to the minister of Higher Education to immediately intercede with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, for early sanction and disbursement of second phase Post-Matric Scholarship ST for the year 2024-2025.
In a representation, the union acknowledged the minister and Higher Education department for engaging with the concerned ministry and prioritising the disbursement of first phase PMS ST to 22,000 students in June 2025.
The union stated that the remaining students are eagerly awaiting the funds to meet their academic needs, as most students in the state belonged to the economically weaker section.
“We place our confidence in your ability to take necessary steps to address this issue promptly, as the delay in disbursement of scholarship to the students will only invite retaliation from the students’ community,” the representation stated.
