Dimapur Police notifies public
Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): In view of the President’s visit to Nagaland on November 2 and 3, Dimapur Police has issued certain restrictions from 6 am on November 2 to 6 pm on November 3 within Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts. In an order, Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Rothihu Tetseo, has restricted use of any kind of remotely piloted aircraft (RPO) like drones etc., conduct of any kind of firing practice by security forces, civil police, central police, private firing range or any civilian holder of licensed fire arms, and bursting of any kind of firecrackers.
SCERT informs private schools
Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) will facilitate the procurement of the Nagaland Heritage Studies Series (MIL) from classes 1 to 8 and Nagaland Heritage Studies Series (English version) from classes 5 to 8 textbooks for all private schools for the Academic session 2023. In this connection, all private schools willing to introduce the Nagaland Heritage Studies textbook are requested to place their requirements to SCERT Nagaland on or before November 28. Health dept. bids farewell to outgoing officer
Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Department of Health and Family Welfare bade farewell to its outgoing director, Dr. T Wabang, during a programme held on November 1 at IDSP conference hall in Kohima. Delivering his farewell speech, Dr. Wabang expressed gratitude to all officers and thanked the Almighty God for His help during his tenure in the department. Stating that all aspects of health are equally important, he especially requested the officers and doctors to focus on mental health programme. Speech was also delivered by the principal director, Dr. K Vikato Kinimi and lauded Dr. Wabang for all his services rendered towards the department.
SUD convenes meeting
Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Satakhami Union Dimapur (SUD) has convened its general meeting on November 5 at Satakhami Union Dimapur building at 10 am to discuss on issues pertaining to its upcoming general conference of Satakhami Union Dimapur. The union has requested all the unit presidents and general secretaries to attend the meeting.
SJC conducts career guidance
Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Sociology department of St. Joseph University (SJC), Chümoukedima, held a career guidance programme on October 31 the theme ‘The three P’s of job searching strategy.’ An update informed that Rajesh Tanti, founder and managing director of ‘The Mentor Consultancy,’ was the resource person of the seminar. Tanti talked on the three P’s of marketing i.e., Positioning, Packaging and Promotion. “Based on these, he emphasised on firstly, making our identity, secondly, grooming and presenting the best of ourselves to the world and thirdly, promoting ourselves,” it stated.
