Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Kohima, Shanavas C, in an order, informed that the Aadhaar enrollment centre in Kohima headquarters would remain open on all seven days of the week including Saturday and Sunday as working days except national and local holidays to facilitate and ease the process for working people and others. He has directed at least one operator to attend the office to cater to the needs of the people on a rotational basis on all Sundays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays.
Kohima, Oct 11 (EMN): The Tenyidie department of Nagaland University (NU) will be celebrating its silver jubilee at Ura Academy Hall in Kohima on October 15 from 10:30 am. To commemorate the milestone, president of Ura Academy, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu, will release a souvenir and address the gathering and greetings will be shared by Prof. Buno Zetsuvi, administrative in-charge of NU Kohima Campus. It informed that Prof. D Kuolie, retired HoD, department of Linguistics will present the history and significance of the formation of Tenyidie department at NU. The organisers have invited all the alumni of the department, students and well wishers to join the celebration.
Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The first brotherhood coordination meeting of the Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO), Western Sumi Sports Association (WSSA) and Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) for the 2nd brotherhood sports meet was held on October 11. An update informed that the meeting was called by the CYO and hosted by Zhato Kimho, president of Chakhroma Public Organisation. In the meeting, the house resolved that CYO will host the 2nd brotherhood sports meet at DDSC stadium in the third week of November.
Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The department of State Taxes has deployed the commercial state tax officers in the state to work and prepare a survey report on GST compliance by all the stakeholders in the state. The commissioner of State Tax, Gregory Thejawelie, has requested all the stakeholders to cooperate and provide the necessary information to the commercial state tax officers to enable them complete the exercise by November 30, 2022.
Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Consequent upon change in administrative set up of the GPRN/NSCN under Union Territory (UT), Hekiye Zhimo, kilonser, has taken the charge as chairman of UT as per government Ahza dated September 8. A GPRN/NSCN’s statement through its MIP has urged all the public and stakeholders under the jurisdiction of UT to continue extending trust and cooperation in days to come for a better and congenial administration of the land and carry on to support the journey towards the Naga national cause. It further informed that prohibition orders has been placed against sale of banned substances and immoral activities within the stretch of National Highway and UT jurisdiction with necessary penalties as per GPRN Ahza.

Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Indian army will organise a recruitment rally for soldier technical nursing assistant (NA)/ nursing assistant veterinary (NA VET) for eligible candidates of Northeastern states of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura at Solmara/ Misamari in Assam from January 19 to the 26th. It informed that the online registration would be opened from October 1 to the 30th. All candidates desirous of participating in the rally are advised to acquaint themselves with the details of eligible criteria given in the notification. It informed that notification details are available on website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The mission department of Jalukie Town Local Baptist Church (JTLBC) conducted a medical camp on October 9 at the church premises. An update from the church informed that the medical camp was part of the mission week which commenced on October 3. Around 120 patients, mostly from poor families and destitute, were treated and free medicine given to all the patients, it stated.
Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): Two students of Livingstone Foundation International College won award of the online quiz competition organised by Nagaland State Aids Control Society (NSACS) for Red Ribbon Club members on September 30 on the theme "Channelling youth for healthy living.” An update from the college stated that K Dantsula Yimkhiung of semester III won the third prize with cash of INR 5000 and certificate, while Kajal Kumari of semester I won the consolation prize with cash of INR 2000 and certificate within the Dimapur district.
