DC Chümoukedima notifies property owners
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): As payment of property compensation in respect of Kiyevi village from chainage km 152.225 to km 156.810 has been made, the deputy commissioner of Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, has directed all the property owners to vacate to enable execution of work of 2 lane road with hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur section of National Highway 129A. In a public notice, the DC has inform all the concerned landowners, other governmental, non-governmental agencies whose lands and other properties/ plantations have been acquired under Section 9 (2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition and Acquisition Act to vacate/ remove any standing structures on the compensated area from the date of issue of this notice. He has further sought strict compliance by all concerned and to extend full cooperation to the executing team for the smooth implementation of the 2 lane road with hard shoulder of Peren-Dimapur section of National Highway 129A.
Power shutdown to affect 4 districts
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The executive engineer (transmission division), Dimapur, has in an update informed that there will a shutdown of 132/66/33kV 2x100MVA Nagarjan sub-station on October 15 from 6 am to 9 am to facilitate routine maintenance of 132kV Bus-bar, 132/66kV 100MVA transformer and 132/33kV 100MVA transformer. “During the shutdown period power supply to the district of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Niuland and Peren will be affected,” it stated.
DC Wokha notifies SDRF beneficiaries
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The deputy commissioner and chairman of Wokha district disaster management authority (WDDMA), Ajit Kumar Ranjan, informed that relief assistance for the beneficiaries under SDRF has been sanctioned by the government for applicants between the years 2018-2020. He informed that the list of beneficiaries has been uploaded on the district website www.wokha.nic.in. In this regard, all the beneficiaries are requested to collect the relief assistance from the disaster cell of deputy commissioner’s office, Wokha, between 11 am and 3 pm by furnishing copy of Adhaar card/ other government issued ID card along with one passport size photo.
CP Dimapur informs on firework license
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): In accordance with Rule 84 of Explosive Rule, 2008, and circular by the chief controller of explosive, the office of the commissioner of police, Dimapur, informed that temporary fireworks license would be issued at its office. It has informed interested parties to stock and sell firecrackers to obtain permit/ license Form LE-5 after duly filling up Form AE-5. It further informed that the form could be obtained from its with effect from October 14 to the 17th.
NSCN/GPRN terminates 2 officials
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): The Ministry of Home Affairs, NSCN/GPRN, has terminated two regional officials namely Kughato Achumi, Leacy of Tichipami village, and Hito Ayemi, Khapur of Tichipami village, both serving under Union Territory from active national service for their involvement in “anti-social activities.” NSCN/GPRN in an update informed that the termination order comes into immediate effect. Meanwhile, NSCN/GPRN condoled the demise of Robin Lotha, Tatar, who passed away on October 13. “Late Robin Lotha was a sincere and committed national worker who dedicated his life to serve the interest of the Naga people. The NSCN/GPRN honours his selfless service to the Naga people and which shall be always remembered by all,” the NSCN/GPRN stated in a condolence message.
NSCN (IM) condoles demise of cadre
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): NSCN (IM) has condoled the demise of 2nd Lieutenant Athrongba Mongzar of security task force (STF) battalion from Chimonger village under United Sangtam Region (USR), who passed away on October 14 following a cardiac arrest. An NSCN (IM)’s statement through its MIP stated that Athrongba joined the Naga national service on August 14, 2007, and served with unwavering patriotism until his demise. While lamenting the loss, it stated that his name would be recorded in the pages of Naga history and remembered for his selfless contributions to the Naga national cause. It further conveyed condolence to the bereaved family members and prayed for peace of the departed soul.
NFHRCC convenes meeting
Dimapur, Oct. 14 (EMN): Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) has convened an emergency meeting on October 16 at its base office in Khermahal, Dimapur, at 3 pm. The committee assistant general secretary, Chenithung Humtsoe, has requested all the members to attend the meeting.
