CS reviews B20 meet preparations
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Secretary, J Alam, held a review meeting on the preparations for the upcoming B20 Business Meet at the Civil Secretariat in Kohima on Thursday. A DIPR report stated details of the G20 delegates' arrival at Dimapur airport and their stay in Kohima till their departure on the third day were discussed at length. It added that AHoD and HoD of the stakeholder departments in the B20 Meet presented their plans. Issues such as security, logistics, publicity, departmental presentations and others were worked out and necessary changes were made after ideas were bounced off each other, it informed.

Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): The general manager of Nagaland State Transport (NST) has informed that the state helicopter service would remain requisitioned on standby from April 4 to the 6th in connection with the upcoming G20 Business Meet. The general manager of NST, in a circular, stated that the arrangement was made in compliance to Home department, General Administration Branch (Protocol) letter dated March 28.
NLA Speaker calls on Governor
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, made his first official call on Nagaland Governor, La. Ganesan, on March 29 at Raj Bhavan in Kohima, after being elected as Speaker for the second time. The Governor made his maiden address in the House during the first session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on March 21, an official report stated.
1st AR (LH) extends assistance to school
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): With the purpose to promote better education and sports facilities, the 1st Assam Rifles (LH) visited Government Middle School at Midland in Kohima on March 21 and provided teaching aids and sports items. Speaking on the occasion, Colonel Umesh Sati of 1st Assam rifles (LH) urged the students to participate in various events organised in the school and showcase their talent. Meanwhile, the school management committee (SMC) member, Neizeno, has thanked the 1st AR (LH) for their contribution and continued support towards the school.
NSCN (Niki) terminates member
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): Niki Sumi-led NSCN/GPRN has terminated its leacy, Rolex Ayemi, resident of Burma Camp, Dimapur, under UT-1 from active national service with immediate effect. The termination order issued from the office of secretary, kilo affairs, stated that he has been terminated for violation of Yezabo of NSCN/GPRN and indulging in anti-national activities.
Auto driver injured in accident
Dimapur, March 30 (EMN): One autorickshaw driver sustained minor injury after being hit by a van at Supermarket area on March 29 at around 6:30 pm. According to police officer, the injured auto driver is being treated in a hospital. He informed that the van has been taken into police custody but no case has been filed by the auto driver. He also informed that the drivers have resolved the issue between themselves since it was only a minor incident. The traffic police officer stated that there has been no serious incident during this month except for minor cases. He shared that most of the incidents are related to rash driving. (Our Reporter)
