reviews Horticulture projects in Atoizu
DIMAPUR — Minister
of Horticulture Salhoutuonuo Kruse visited the Atoizu Horticulture Farm to
review its progress and initiatives. According to a DIPR report, during her
visit, she engaged in discussions with Dr. Alongba Tzudir, district
horticulture officer for Zunheboto, on various horticulture-related activities
in the region. The visit was attended by personnel from the district
administration, police, and Horticulture department.
Four Sainik School
Punglwa students recommended for NDA
DIMAPUR — Four students
from Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland, were recommended by the Service Selection
Board (SSB) for entry into the National Defence Academy (NDA): Cdt Ihuding
Iheilung from Nagaland and three other cadets, namely Cdt Sujal Sharma, Cdt Joy
Brata Chakma, and Cdt Ekagra Ariyan. An update further mentioned that four out
of the six cadets who passed the UPSC NDA written exam are now recommended for
training at the National Defence Academy, Pune. The principal extended
heartfelt congratulations to the cadets, their teachers, and parents and urged
the current Class 11 cadets to build on the legacy.
Attack on government office in Zunheboto draws condemnation
DIMAPUR — The
facilitating JICA-NFMP Field Non-Governmental Organisation YouthNet Zunheboto
condemned the attack that took place at the Divisional Management Unit,
Zunheboto Forest Division, on the night of January 24, around 7:30 pm. The
attack targeted the government office, causing damage to the office building
and a government vehicle (Bolero) allotted to Tsuamki L Yimchunger, assistant
conservator of Forest, who also oversees the field management unit at Atoizu
Beat. The FNGO YouthNet stated that such a violent act would not only hurt the
sentiments of the citizens but also tarnish the reputation of the community.
The organisation appealed to the concerned authorities to arrest the culprits
and penalise them as deemed fit, in accordance with the law of the land, at the
earliest.
DIMAPUR — Nagaland
Power Solutions and Machineries, an authorised sales, service, and spare parts
dealer of Honda India Power Tools Limited, have announced a free rural service
camp for all their products at Merima village, Kohima. According to an update,
the free rural service camp will be held on January 28 and 29, from 9 am to
4:30 pm. The company further stated that no service charge will be levied,
except for parts. For more information, customers can make enquiries at their
authorised service centre located at Naga Hospital Road, Kohima.
