Meluri DPDB meeting held
DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) for Meluri district was held at the DB Court, Meluri, on Monday. According to a DIPR report, the Advisor for New and Renewable Energy and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, welcomed all the members present in the meeting. After reviewing the last meeting minutes, he stressed the upgrading of Sub-Health Centre Phokhungri to a primary health centre (PHC). A PowerPoint presentation was presented by the Department of Soil and Water Conservation.
Niuland DWSM holds meeting on sanitation
DIMAPUR — The District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM), Niuland, held a meeting on Monday at the DC conference hall, Niuland. According to a DIPR report, the meeting was convened by Sara S Jamir, deputy commissioner and chairman of DWSM Niuland. During the meeting, Nirie-e Nisa, executive engineer, PHED, highlighted the purpose and objectives of "Hamara Shauchalay-Hamara Bhavishya" (Our Toilet-Our Future). The DC reviewed the Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin phase 2.0 for Hovishe and Viyito villages. She also inaugurated the newly constructed toilet at the DC office premises in commemoration of World Toilet Day.
Art and Culture department designates RTI officers
DIMAPUR — The Department of Art and Culture has informed that in pursuance of Section 5(1) and (2) and Section 19(1) of the Right to Information Act 2005, officers have been designated as appellate authority (AA), public information officer (PIO) and assistant public information officer (APIO) in respect of the department at the administrative level. According to a DIPR report, Bodeno S Colo, secretary, has been designated as the AA; Atosheli Sema, joint secretary, as the PIO; and Yashisenla, under secretary, as the APIO.

Zeliangrong Baudi (N) postpones general assembly
DIMAPUR — The Board of Election Commission, in consultation with Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland (ZBN) executives, has notified that the schedule for the general assembly/conference-cum-election of Zeliangrong Baudi (N) on December 12 is postponed until further notice. A press release stated that the proposed date could not be actualised due to unavoidable circumstances and compelling reasons. It expressed regret for the inconveniences caused and committed to ensuring a better and convenient time to convene the term-end conference-cum-election.
ARSU advisory board to meet on December 13
DIMAPUR — The advisory board of the Atoizu Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has convened a meeting on December 13 at the residence of Khekishe Aye, GB, New Market, Thahekhu Block 5. According to a press release, all members of the executive council of ARSU have been informed to attend the meeting without fail, as the agenda to be discussed is of significant importance.
NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) to hold national political meet
DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN-R (Akato) has scheduled a general ‘National Political Meet’ on Tuesday, December 9, at Hoito Village at 12 noon. A press release issued by the MIP stated that all bona fide members concerned are asked to attend.
