- DIMAPUR — Director of Art and Culture Adela
Moa has notified all rural libraries enlisted with the Department of Art and
Culture that books for 2023–24 may be collected from the Directorate of Art and
Culture between April 16 and May 15 during office hours. According to a DIPR
report, all the libraries are required to bring the library round seal and
designation seal (president, librarian, and general secretary), without which
books will not be issued. After the last date, the books will be taken by the
district cultural officers/registering officer to their respective
headquarters, from where the enlisted rural libraries shall collect them.

- DIMAPUR — Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Mon,
Ajit Kumar, has been invited to mobilise candidates for the Prime Minister
Internship Scheme in Nagaland, as directed by the Directorate of Youth
Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland. According to an update in this
regard, the District Employment Officer, Mon; the principals of Wangkhao
Government College, Mon Vale College, Industrial Training Institute, Mon; Model
College, Wakching; Government Polytechnic College, Aboi; and the president of
the Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Mon, have been requested to peruse the matter
and disseminate the information within their respective colleges, institutions,
or jurisdictions.

Forum greets communities on New Year
- DIMAPUR — On April 14 and 15, several states
across India are observing regional New Year celebrations such as Pahela
Baishakh (Nobo-Borsho), Bihu, Bishu, Vaishakhi, and others, in line with their
traditional and cultural practices. In a press statement, the Linguistic
Minority Forum of Nagaland conveyed warm greetings to the Bengali, Assamese,
Tamil, and Keralite communities, as well as to all those celebrating the New
Year under various names and traditions across the country. It expressed hope
that the occasion would bring joy, peace, positivity, and abundant blessings.
- Training for restaurants, hotels, held in Kohima
- DIMAPUR — The Food Safety Administration,
Kohima Zone, organised a Food Safety Training and Certification (FoSTaC)
programme for food business operators at the Para Medical Training Institute on
Monday. According to an update, the training was conducted in two batches — the
first at 10 a.m. for restaurants, hotels, and caterers, and the second at 1
p.m. for manufacturers. The training partner was M/s Aroma Shiksha Evam Samithi,
Korba, Chhattisgarh, and the trainer was Dr. Anup Kumar Tiwari. Another
training session will be held on April 17. Food business operators interested
in attending may approach the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Food Safety
Section, Kohima.
