DIMAPUR — As a safety measure for public health, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) and administrator of Tening Town Council TTC), T Lemlila Sangtam, has in a notification, restricted buying and selling of pork in Tening town area and adjoining village till further notice. The ADC of Tening has urged the public to strictly comply with the order and warned that defaulters would be penalised as per relevant section of the law.

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed all the head of registered institutions and students with disabilities that the Health and Family Welfare department has been designated as the competent authority for issue of disability certificate for all purposes of employment, education and availing of all provisions given to persons with disabilities. All head of registered institutions are requested to guide the students with disabilities to obtain the disability certificate from the competent authority only for submission to the Board for availing of provisions/ exemptions in examinations conducted by NBSE.
CKS urges government to execute foothill road
Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) has appreciated the then 13th house of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) under the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, for the wisdom and concern for the people by resolving to take up the foothill road project under NEC during its 12th session in 2022. The CKS has requested the government of the day to execute the project without delay for the welfare of the public.
CSL chairman convenes oral evidence meeting
Chairman of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation (CSL) of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Dr. Sukhato A Sema, has convened an oral evidence meeting of the committee with the departmental representatives of Industries and Commerce department on the examination of the Nagaland Industries Service Rules 1986 on July 3 in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat at 12 noon. He has requested all the AHoD and HoD of the concerned department to be present on the date and time as specified to tender oral evidence before the committee. He has further requested all the committee members to make it convenient to attend the meeting.
LJP (Ram Vilas) convenes meeting
Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Nagaland state has convened a state executive meeting on July 15 at Hotel de oriental grand in Kohima at 11:30 am. An update from the party has requested all the MLAs, senior leaders and former parliamentarians of the party to attend to attend the meeting. The meeting has been convened to discus on matters pertaining to the Naga political problem, Manipur issue, ULB election, good governance, ENPO issue and Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
Greenwood School lift Pre Subroto U-17 Trophy
Greenwood School KIC lifted the Pre Subroto U-17 Trophy 2023 by defeating Livingstone Foundation International 6-2 in the final.
A delayed update received here on Tuesday informed that the sporting event was held at Greenwood School in collaboration with the department of Youth Resources and Sports from June 19 to the 24th.
Peilungning of Greenwood School KIC and Kivipu of Livingstone Foundation International (LFI), who scored seven goals each, were top scorers of the tournament. Kivipu (LFI) also received Best Player award, while Medongusie (SFS) was declared Best Goalkeeper.
1st Inter-College Champions Trophy next month
Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced 1st Inter-College Cricket Tournament for colleges under Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts.
The event will be held from July 17 onwards at Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Ground, said an update received here on Tuesday. It added that tournament will be played in league format or round robin format.
