Governor to grace Horticulture dept’s silver jubilee
State Governor, P.B. Acharya will be gracing the Department of Horticulture’s silver jubilee on April 27 at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima as chief guest. Parliamentary Secretary for Horticulture, Kejong Chang will convey jubilee greetings while reminiscence of the department will be shared by the first Director of Horticulture, Dr. K. Chuba and present status of Horticulture will be presented by Head of Department, N. Amos Ao.
Open hearing on human rights
The Home Department in a correspondence informed that the National Human Rights Commission will be organising one-day ‘Open Hearing’ on various issues relating to atrocities and problems faced by Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes on April 24 at Administrative Training Centre, Kohima.
DDEO Dimapur informs schools
Deputy District Education Officer (DDEO), Dimapur, R.Amongla Jamir has informed all the head of the institutions both government and private schools to collect the pre-matric scholarship (ST) form for class 9 and 10 before April 29 from the District Education Office, Half-Nagarjan. While collecting the form the schools are also requested to come with the total number of ST students enrolled in the school during the academic year 2017-18.
LYO reminds on using boring machine
Reiterating its standing order, Lhisemia Youth Organisation (LYO), Kohima village has reminded that using of boring machine within its jurisdiction by individual and private sectors has been strictly prohibited. Any people using the machine for private means have been requested to stop for the welfare of the public. LYO also cautioned the defaulter that strictly action will be initiated.
KCSU 2nd union assembly
Kohima Chakhesang Student’s Union (KCSU) will be holding its 2nd union assembly for the tenure 2016-17 on April 22 at CBCK Jubilee Hall at 1 p.m. All village units and affiliated units have been requested to send atleast two representative for the session positively.
THN annual sitting
Tangkhul Hoho Nagaland (THN) has convened its annual sitting on April 22, 11 a.m. at the premises of Tangkhul Baptist Church, Diphupar. Any member wishes to submit agenda for discussion may do so before the meeting. Election for new office bearers will also be held on the same day. All members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
RMSA secondary teachers’ induction prog postponed
The Nagaland Board of School Education in a notification informed that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, the induction training programme scheduled on April 25 at Mayangnokcha GHSS, Mokokchung for secondary teachers freshly recruited under RMSA 2016-17 and posted in the districts of Mokokchung, Longleng, Tuensang and Zunheboto, has been postponed till further notice The new date shall be notified later.
The Government of NNC GDRN (N/A) has terminated Kilonser Inaho Chophy, of Yehemi village, Zunheboto district from the active national service for indulging in anti-national activities and misappropriation of funds. In press release issued by Kilonser Khehoto MIP also warned offices and business establishments entertaining the said person would be doing so at their own risk.
