Kohima DC notifies vehicle owners
Deputy commissioner (DC) and district election officer (DEO), Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan has informed all private vehicle owners/ drivers of Kohima district, whose vehicles were requisitioned and detailed for election duty during the by-election to the Nagaland parliamentary constituency, to collect the vehicle hire charges from June 25 to 28. All the concerned are directed to collect the same during office working hours from the election branch, office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima.
CSUD convenes meeting
Chakhesang Students’ Union Dimapur (CSUD) has convened its union assembly on June 23 at the Western Chakhesang Hoho building in Dimapur at 3 pm. The union has requested all the unit representatives and executive members to attend the proposed meeting without fail.
AR conduct awareness programme
Wokha battalion of the Assam Rifles has conducted a lecture cum awareness on “Drug Free Nagaland” at Chukitong Baptist Mission School on June 21. The aim of the event was to create awareness about the menace of drug abuse and measures to adopt for achieving a drug free Nagaland. Altogether, 55 students and seven teachers from Chukitong Baptist Mission School attended the event.
DDADU informs members
President of the Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) has informed all concerned not to handover their autorickshaw to a person who do not possess proper documents. The notification was issued in order to ease traffic congestion and to check proxy drivers. The union president, I Vitoshe Sema has informed all the commuters to take note of the registration number so that any belongings that has been left behind in the autorickshaw could be traced once they report to its office. The union has further informed all the concerned drivers to hand over any belonging left behind by the passengers to its office.
