NSCN (R) discharges official
NSCN/ GPRN (Reformation) has discharged Capt. Visie-U (Joshua), son of K Zakie of Piphema old village, Angami region, with immediate effect on ‘health ground.’ The organisation, in a statement issued by its MIP, has wished him speedy recovery of his health and a bright future.
ANSTA convenes meeting
All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), central, has convened an emergency meeting with all federating units/ sub-units on June 21 at its guest house at 11 am. The meeting has been convened to deliberate on crucial issues confronting the association and also to chalk- out programmes for its ensuing general conference scheduled in November next. The association general secretary, Visato Koso, has requested all the federating presidents/ general secretaries and conveners of genuine graduate teachers’ forum to attend the proposed meeting without fail.
JYO clarifies news report
The Jotsoma Youth Organisation (JYO) has clarified about the mother’s name of Renpemo Tsopoe, who was caught while extorting money from loaded trucks within the jurisdiction of Jotsoma village on the National Highway 29 on June 2. Tsopoe had allegedly claimed that his mother was Rokosanuo Vitsu from Viswema village during an interrogation. On having further investigation, it was learned that the real name of Tsopoe’s mother was Wopeno Tsopoe and not Rokosanuo Vitsu as stated. In a press release, JYO has decried the statement of the accused for tarnishing the image of Vitsu clan.
