Dept. of V&AH renamed
The State government has renamed the Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry to Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services with immediate effect. The notification has been issued with the clearance of the P&AR Department (AR Branch) vide U.O. No.173 dt.14/03/17. Henceforth, it has informed that all communications and correspondences may be addressed as ‘Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services.
Chumukedima Electrical Division office shifted
Executive Engineer, Chumukedima Electrical Division, Er. Kasho Chishi has informed all the concerned that the Office of the Executive Engineer, Chumukedima Electrical Division has been shifted to Electrical Colony, ward-5, Chumukedima.
KVK Phek to observe New India Manthan today
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Phek will be observing the ‘New India Manthan: Sankalp se Siddhi’ today 9 a.m. at KVK campus and Panchayat Hall, Porba village. The programme will be initiated with visit of exhibits at KVK campus, followed by Sankalp se Siddhi march from KVK to Panchayat Hall Porba. MP Rajya Sabha, K.G. Kenye will grace the occasion as chief guest and Dr. R.S Gandhi, additional director general of Animal Science (AP&B), ICAR, New Delhi will be the guest of honour. KVK Phek has invited all the farmers, youths and nearby villages to participate in the programme.
KSUK fresher’s meet cum cultural day
The Konyak students union Kohima (KSUK) will be organising its 34th Freshers’ Meet cum Cultural Day on September 2, 10:30 a.m. at URA Academy Hall, Kohima. Parliamentary Secretary of Art & Culture, E. Eshak Hessum will grace the event as chief guest. Deputy Director NRHM Kohima, Dr. Leamnyei and Retd. Director of Education, B. Tingshem Konyak as guest of honour and special guest respectively. All the students, elders and leaders, of the various organisations and well wishers have been requested to be a part of the event.
High Court Bar extra-ordinary meeting
In pursuance to the Article 10 of the Bar Constitution, an extra-ordinary general meeting of the High Court Bar, Kohima has been convened on September 4, 1 p.m. at the Bar room, to discuss some urgent issues of the association. All the bonafide members have been requested to attend the meeting.

LSU cultural day and contest postponed
Lotha Students’ Union (LSU) has informed that its 1st cultural day cum inter schools & colleges competition has been postponed September 23, 9 a.m. at Local Ground,Wokha. All the schools and colleges have been requested to submit the name list of the participants and a brief note on exhibition items on or before September 9. Participants for "Narration of Lotha Naga culture” are also asked to submit a copy on the topic on or before the mentioned date. LSU has invited all the affiliated units, seniors, tribunals and well wishers to be part of the event. All the higher classes of all the schools including middle schools and college are informed to attend the programme in traditional attire.
