DAYO condemns blast
Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has condemned the May 13 bomb blast at Dimapur Gas Agency in Midland at around 10:15 a.m. DAYO president, K Longri Imchen and the general secretary Meyatoba stated that such kind of unprovoked and threatening activities meted out at public places has no justification whatsoever in our society. It appealed to the law enforcing agency to take necessary step so as to maintain peace and tranquillity in the town.
SFMS sensitisation programme
As initiated by the Department of Expenditure, Controller General Accounts, PFMS, Government of India, a training-cum-workshop programme for implementation of Public Financial Management System (PFMS) in the State is being organised in the conference hall of the Directorate of Treasuries & Accounts on May 15 and 16 from 10 AM to 3 PM with resource persons from PFMS, Ministry of Finance. Finance Commissioner, Abhijit Shinha has requested all the departments implementing CSS/ NEC/ NLCPR schemes to depute their Accounts Officers and Scheme Programme Officers to participate in the training programme without fail.
ANHTU Kohima convenes meet
Kohima unit of All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has convened a general meeting on May 27 at RBP School, Keziekie, near Koinonia Church, at 10 a.m. The unit president Kekhrieneilie Tsikhano and publicity secretary Nelson Yhokha have requested all the government Hindi teachers working in Kohima district to attend the meeting without fail.
