NSCN (Niki) rejects ZUF (J) allegations
DIMAPUR — The NSCN/GPRN (Niki) has rejected and condemned allegations made by the ZUF (J) regarding an alleged joint operation against the outfit in Southern Nagaland, describing the claims as “imaginary, baseless and unfounded.” In a press statement issued in response to reports circulating on social media and news outlets, the NSCN/GPRN (Niki) questioned the reasons behind what it termed a fictitious allegation and said it was prepared to face any eventuality. The statement further warned that if the allegations were intended to serve any “future nefarious intentions,” the organisation would retaliate “tooth and nail, without any quarter.” Contrasting its approach with that of the ZUF (J), the group said it believed in a broader perspective, long-term strategies and goals rather than what it described as a myopic outlook. The organisation also expressed its desire for brotherly relations but said such ties could not be established with those harbouring “evil and hidden agendas.” Reiterating its commitment to the unity of the Naga people, the NSCN/GPRN (Niki) maintained that unity should not come at the expense of its cherished political aspirations.
GPRN/NNC (AB) warns against extortion
DIMAPUR — The GPRN/NNC (AB) has expressed serious concern over alleged rampant illegal collections by individuals impersonating government representatives to extort money from contractors and business establishments. In a press release, the organisation alleged that one Viketo and his group were posing as government representatives and collecting taxes and donations illegally. To avoid confusion and streamline the process of goodwill donations, the GPRN/NNC (AB) has appointed H Sumi Naga as supervisor to coordinate all such donations across Chümoukedima, Niuland and Dimapur districts. The organisation warned that strict action would be initiated against individuals found impersonating its representatives or engaging in unauthorised collections. It further requested the public to contact 6009403832 for clarification in case of any confusion or suspected demands for donations.
