
Dimapur, Jan. 22 (EMN): Okotso village unit of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) in Wokha district has resolved to unite and work in cohesion towards strengthening the party with focus on enrolling every aspiring new members into the party fold.
The resolution to this effect was taken during its meeting on January 22, which was presided over by the general secretary and convener of NDPP CEB and team in-charge of NDPP Wokha region TL Merry.
The unit has also resolved to extend unflinching support to the leadership of the chief minister Neiphiu Rio, NDPP president and PDA chairman Chingwang Konyak, and all the PDA legislators.
An update from the NDPP Pangti village unit president Khonsao Shitiri and the NDPP Okotso village unit president Nchumthung Ngullie stated that leaders and functionaries representing the area in general and Okotso village in particular attended the meeting. The members have discussed on the party matters as well as present scenario in the state and expressed appreciation to the PDA government under the leadership of the chief minister Neiphiu Rio.
The members have also appreciated Mhathung Yanthan, MLA from 39th Sanis AC and advisor of Horticulture and Boarder Affairs, for his untiring efforts in developmental works as well as in promoting and improving the livelihood of the people at the grassroots.
