
Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): The president of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Chingwang Konyak, along with senior central NDPP leaders visited Zunheboto town on October 19 and held meeting at the residence of NDPP Zunheboto region president in presence of Agriculture minister, G Kaito Aye, and MLA Picto Shohe.
An update from NDPP stated that party delegates from the NDPP 31-Akuluto AC; 32-Atoizu AC; 33-Suruhuto AC, 34-Aghunato AC, 35-Zunheboto AC and 36-Satakha AC also attended the meeting.
Konyak, in his address, explained in detail the stand of the NDPP regarding the Indo-Naga problem. He said the present NDPP-led government was playing an active role of a facilitator to arriving at an honourable solution acceptable to one and all.
The NDPP president appealed to all the party workers present to be vigilant and extend full support to the party’s central leaders and the NDPP-led government in the state.
Kaito, in his address, thanked Konyak and his team for visiting Zunheboto and expressed gratitude to the six assembly constituencies under Zunheboto district for their cooperation and according warm reception to the party president and his entourage.
Picto Shohe, NDPP vice president, Benjamin Lorin, also spoke on the occasion.
The general secretary of NDPP Zunheboto, P Hutovi Awomi, presented the status report of the NDPP Zunheboto region, while the president of Zunheboto Region Women Organisation, Inakali Q Zhimo, chaired the meeting.
The NDPP central team also held at meeting at the office of NDPP Mokokchung region on October 18 with the office bearers of the NDPP Mokokchung region, frontal organisation leaders from youth, women, agri and allied and the 10 assembly constituencies and CEB members from the region.
In his speech, Chingwang Konyak highlighted and shared the ground realities on wide ranging political issues pertaining to the state of Nagaland and party politics in particular. He urged the NDPP Mokokchung region party leaders, CEB and ministerial in-charges to positively establish invigorated and cohesive workmanship on war footing.
All the ten assembly constituencies and the three frontal organisations of the region presented their comprehensive status reports with special reference to the actual enrolment figures in respective AC, appointment of booth level agents in polling stations and their road map leading to the Nagaland state general election 2023.
