DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Medical Council (NMC) has informed all allopathic registered medical practitioners in Nagaland to promptly renew their registration if it has expired.
In a press statement, the council reminded that the licence issued is valid for five years and that it is mandatory for all medical practitioners, including those serving under the state or central government, to maintain updated registration.
According to the NMC, these requirements are in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Nagaland Medical Council Act, 2014, and the National Medical Commission Registered Medical Practitioners (Professional Conduct) Regulations, 2023.
The NMC also reminded all clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals to ensure that all allopathic doctors employed within their establishments possess valid registration. Practitioners from other states must have their registration and qualifications verified by the Nagaland Medical Council.
