Mokokchung, Aug. 26 (EMN): In a first of its kind, the ward authority of Majakong in Mokokchung town constructed an Anganwadi centre on its own initiation and dedicated to the public on August 26.
The centre was dedicated by the associate pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church, Yanglu Pongen, in the presence of Ongpangkong (N) CDPO, Chubatola; DPO Talisangla at Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH); medical superintendent, Dr. Marina; and Majakong ward Yimden secretary.
Acknowledging the noble initiative of the Majakong ward Authority, a representative from the Social Welfare department stated that Majakong ward has set an example for the people to come forward to contribute for the welfare of the people.
The centre was constructed without government’s aid and was built under IMDH jurisdiction with due permission from the concerned authority.
