Nagaland Lok Sabha MP Supongmeren calls on Chidambaram

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, on Monday, informed that Lok Sabha member S Supongmeren Jamir met with senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member P Chidambaram at the latter's official residence in Delhi.

Having held the charge of almost all the important portfolios in the Union Ministry, including Finance and Home Ministries under Prime Ministers starting from PV Narasimha Rao to Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Rajya Sabha MP's in depth knowledge about the fiscal and socio-political history of Nagaland was clearly visible during their insightful interaction, it said in a press release on Monday.

Further, it said that Chidambaram was also the chairperson of the Congress party's manifesto committee for the 2024 General Elections and was instrumental in the inclusion of the Naga Political Solution clause in the manifesto.
