The Kohima audition for the NE Star – Ultimate Music Talent Hunt showcases the top 20 musical talents of Nagaland.

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland live audition for NE Star – Ultimate Music Talent Hunt, powered by Toyota and managed by Unitex Inc., took place at the Okusa Toyota showroom in Kohima on August 28.
According to an update, NE Star is a platform designed to discover, nurture, and celebrate musical talent from across the Northeast.
The event, which is affiliated with the IPRS, brings together the region's top musical talent. The auditions were coordinated by State Coordinator Mele Pucho of Symphony Production and hosted by Femina Miss India Nagaland 2023 Ezhotou Keyho.
The programme featured a special song by Vilazeü Kengurüsie and Kedo, followed by a welcome note by SK Karthik, representing Toyota. The contestants were evaluated by local musicians Ameu Usou Zao, Director of the School of Music, Kohima; and Obed Kath, singer, songwriter, and frontman of Divine Connection.
The core of the two-hour live audition showcased the top 20 talents from Nagaland. From this group, the top two participants will be shortlisted to represent the state. This selection process will be mirrored across the other seven participating states.
The shortlisted participants' results will be announced on September 20 on the official NE Star Instagram page. The respective state winners will compete in the finale scheduled for September 27 in Guwahati.
