Kohima, March 24 (EMN): The Nagaland Legislative Assembly on Thursday passed Nagaland Appropriation (No.2) Bill, 2022, authorising the state government to withdraw INR 242,39,49,96,000 (approximately INR 24239.49 crore) from and out of the consolidated fund of the state for the Financial Year 2022-23.
The Bill was introduced by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, who is also the Minister-in-Charge for Finance, and was later passed through a voice vote.
After passing the demands of grants for the year 2022-2023 involving 82 (except three demands) of different state departments and governmental agencies, the Appropriation Bill was taken into consideration and passed.
The Bill authorised payment and appropriation of certain sum from and out of the consolidated fund of Nagaland to the services of the year ending on March 31, 2023.
